Sometimes you need all that — and the company of like-minded lunatics.
Well, the season we’ve been waiting for has arrived. Conference tournaments begin today (March 9), and then we roll into the national playoff tournament.
For Pacific Northwest basketball fans, this is a post-season of riches — and potential — on both the men’s and women’s sides of the court.
Oregon’s Ducks, ranked fifth nationally, kicked off the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas with an 80-57 win over Arizona State. They will play again at 6 p.m. Friday, against either Check out the conference bracket and schedule here.

Oregon State’s women, after prevailing during regular season play, lost a close championship game in their tourney. Look for them to get a good seed for the NCAA tourney, led by senior guard Sydney Wiese and still ranked 8th nationally.
Selection Sunday is March 12. You can watch the announcement of the 68 men’s teams — in the Tiger Lounge, at Grace Su’s China Gorge — on CBS at 2:30 p.m. Pacific.
