“What’s on tap?”
Good question, these days of so many craft brewers.
For the record, the Tiger Lounge pulls from six taps, one of them rotating. Ask your bartender for the name of the current guest tap.
The five pours always available include:
Widmer Hefeweizen – A Pacific Northwest legend from the kettle kitchen in Northeast Portland, this unfiltered wheat beer delivers smooth finish with bright citrus notes, perfect for a hot summer day at 4.9% ABV and 30 bittering units.
Green Flash West Coast IPA – A flagship release from this San Diego brewing juggernaut, it features five different hop influences and pours at a robust 95 bittering units and 8.1% ABV.
Goose Island IPA – Gold medal winner from the Beverage Testing Institute and Great American Beer Festival, the Goose IPA out of Chicago offers a lighter expression of the IPA-style, with 55 bittering units and 5.9% ABV.
Atlas Blackberry Cider – Pouring north from its home in Bend, Ore., the Atlas Blackberry benefits from a little elderberry, too, finishing tart and dry but definitely drawn from Oregon’s most … conflicted? … berry bud.
Shock Top Lemon Shandy – Light, refreshing and bright with the zest of lemon peels and coriander, this shandy cries out for just one more. Proof positive that large brewers can make great beers.
